After months of preparation in filming, editing and breathtaking anticipation the state winners of the 2012 Great Schools Show-off were announced at a prestigious event at Doltone House in Pyrmont.

The state finalists from all regions came together to celebrate the end of Education Week with an MTV style award showcase of video highlights.

An audience of parents, teachers, principals and students was joined by Cheryl Best the Department's General Manager of Learning and Development and David Cuckney, Group Manager of Business Systems of Panasonic Australia, to applaud the efforts of the 19 state finalists and 3 state winners.

The creative video highlights brought a variety of inspiration, light laughter, nodding approvals and feelings reminiscent of school life not only for the students but also for the adults who attended.

Each video in its own way highlighted the breadth of opportunities, the capabilities of students and teachers, and the fabulous programs available to students in NSW public schools.
